Wynad
Tucked away at the north eastern tip of Kerala, this quaint little
hill station about 1300m above sea level is renowned for its coffee,
tea, cardamom, pepper

Wynad stands as one of the loveliest hill stations of Kerala. It is
at a height of 700m to 2100 m above sea level.Wynad's climate and

Glass Temple of Kottamunda
The mirrors inside the Jain temple walls reflect in thousands of
beautiful image patterns of the icons in the temple sanctum sanctorum.

The Thirunelly Temple
S sometimes called the 'Kasi of the South', is 32km from Mananthavady.
One would marvel at the Magnitude of the labour involved in the
construction of the shrine shielded with 30 granite columns and
the ground paved with huge square shaped granites. Near the temple
is the 'Papanasini whose waters, the religions believe, can wash
one's sins away.
Muthanga wildlife sanctuary
Which is 16km east of Sultan Battery is located very near to Karnataka
border. If you are in search of Elephants, Spotted deer, Sambhar
or Sloth bear, head for the 'Wynad Wildlife Sanctuary', also known
as the Muthanga wildlife Sanctuary which is the second largest in
the state.
Chembra Peak (14 km West of Kalpetta)
This peak 2100 m above sea level is the highest peak in Wayanad.The
rocky and wooded surroundings are good for trekking.
Lakkidi (5 km south of Vythiri)
Lakkidi is the gateway to Wayanad. The winding road to this hill
station with lush green vegetation, lofty peaks and mountain streams
is a delightful experience.

Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary
This Sanctuary is a safe haven for a large diversity of flora and
fauna. The striking aspect of this sanctuary is the importance given
to retaining the lifestyle of the tribals in the region. Wayanad
Wildlife Sanctuary is contiguous to the protected area network of
Nagarhole and Bandipur of Karnataka and Mudumalai of Tamilnadu.
